Allies in the Battle for Life

I had the honor and privilege of attending a Holiday Open House at the Galley Road offices of Life Network in early December. One of the purposes of the open house was to bid a fond farewell to the current President and CEO of Life Network, Diane Foley, MD, and to meet and welcome the man who will take the reins in January 2017, Mr. Rich Bennett.

Hillary and the Democratic Party Platform Have it Backwards

In her acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention (as reported by LifeSite news), “Hillary Clinton promised to enact the largest expansion of taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand in history.”

Clinton also said “That’s the only way we can turn our progressive platform into real change for America.”

No Rules Apply When Abortion Involved

Two safety provisions of a 2013 Texas law addressing abortion providers were rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court in a late June decision: the need to meet ambulatory surgical center standards and admission privileges for abortionists at a hospital within 30 miles.

As reported in the National Catholic Register, Justice Stephen Breyer, in his majority opinion, stated that “neither of these provisions offers medical benefits sufficient to justify the burdens upon access that each imposes.”

Suicide by Doctor Like Suicide by Cop

Sometimes we become so numb to the language we use that we don’t recognize what we are saying. Physician assisted suicide is a case in point.

Proponents of physician assisted suicide have described it as a means for attaining “death with dignity,” and they insist that it should be enshrined in law as a “right.”

Women’s Health NOT a Concern for Pro-Abortion Politicians

When I heard a particular argument employed by a state representative on the Colorado House floor one morning, I knew I had to use it for my testimony on a different bill later in the day.

You see, Rep. Dianne Primavera (D-33), in supporting a bill that would ostensibly enhance breast cancer screening, declared that women should not have to settle for half a diagnosis.

Fr Paul Wicker, Pastor of Holy Apostles Catholic Church, put me in touch with Cynthia P. Cerny, author of “Waiting for a Name.” Cynthia, due to her unique experiences, what she writes are the messages she receives from Jesus.  The second quote is from Saint John Paul II.  The author of the third quote is unknown.

Thoughts to Keep Us Energized

·         The baby’s heart starts beating at 20 days and the brain gives off brainwaves at 40 days.  If these factors are used by the law to determine death, why can’t they be used to determine life?

Baby Smiling In Womb

A story in yesterday’s Telegraph shows an ultrasound image of a pre-born 31-week-old baby with a large smile on his face.

It is simply amazing what we can now see with 4D ultrasound scans!

Stop Supporting Komen

Remember when the Susan G. Komen organization tried to cut its ties with Planned Parenthood back in 2011?

The National Catholic Register notes in a recent story that “[w]ithin four days, Komen caved, and everybody who was on the staff and working toward cutting ties with Planned Parenthood has since left the organization.”

Treating Yourself Like a Dog is Not Dignified

Brittany Maynard, a 29-year-old woman with cancer, has made headlines by posting a video indicating she will kill herself on November 1.

She has chosen to advocate for what our society is calling "death with dignity laws." There is nothing dignified about it.
